Racemi Sets Record Year in Revenues, Sales Bookings; Benefits from Takeoff of Cloud Computing

Racemi, a provider of automated server migration software that was founded in 2001, announces its biggest year ever in revenues, as well as sales bookings. The privately-held company reported sales bookings increased 460 percent year-over-year and total revenues for the year amounted to multi-millions. There are now more than 1,800 customers around the world including GE Oil & Gas and CSC.

In early 2010, the company made a pivot to focus on automating server workload migrations to cloud computing platforms. Now, it is seeing rapid growth as enterprises adopt cloud computing. The just released Worldwide Semiannual Public Cloud Services Spending Guide from International Data Corporation (IDC), reports worldwide spending on public cloud services will grow at a 19.4 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from nearly $70 billion in 2015 to more than $141 billion in 2019.

Partner alliances play a strong role in Racemi's success, which include cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and IBM SoftLayer, along with systems integrators such as Accenture, Arcus Global and Leidos.

As part of an agreement with AWS, Racemi launched its No Cost Migration Program providing qualified customers access to Racemi's migration software at no cost. That AWS agreement was expanded worldwide in October, and the no cost offer made available to AWS Partner Network (APN) Consulting Partners, as well.

Racemi's DynaCenter software enables businesses to move large numbers of server workloads to AWS in an automated, secure and reliable way with support for Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) and direct migrations to the 11 global AWS Regions including AWS GovCloud Region (US).

In addition, customers have a choice of deploying to 20 SoftLayer data centers around the globe.

Additional achievements in the past year include:

- AWS Partner Network Leadership Award at the most recent AWS re:Invent show, making the second consecutive year Racemi has been named;

- Introducing fixed price packages for upgrading and migrating Windows Server 2003 servers to either Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 2012 R2 and the choice of AWS or SoftLayer cloud;

- Additions to the leadership team with Eric Crump coming from IBM as senior vice president for professional services and technical sales;

- Five DynaCenter software updates with a number of technology innovations, such as near real-time change detection that dramatically reduces the time required to synchronize data, validation of data during the transmission process for higher levels of reliability, automatic selection of the appropriate server size on the cloud and automated migration pre-checks that identify potential configuration issues;

- More options for customers with extended support for AWS Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) - M3, C3, R3, T2, M4, as well as Amazon solid-state drive (SSD) backed instances, Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.x and 5.x migrations to AWS, support for Elastic Block Store (EBS) encrypted volumes.

Racemi's automation software is especially suited for system integrators who can take advantage of DynaCenter's server migration capabilities to speed project timelines, along with cloud providers giving them the ability to streamline migrations to their cloud or hosting services. DynaCenter helps drive adoption of services by reducing the time to onboard customers.

Licensing of DynaCenter starts at $299 per successful workload migration, with volume discounts available.

Racemi's DynaCenter migration software captures the entire server stack - including operating system, applications, configuration, and data - and automatically converts it to run on the selected cloud platform by applying the necessary tools and drivers during the migration process. This ensures existing workloads are migrated in their time-tested configuration, resulting in improved reliability and reduced support requirements. The Live Capture capability ensures that there is no server downtime. All customer data is secured and compressed using AES/RSA SSL encryption over firewall-friendly, fault-tolerant outbound HTTPS connections to provide maximum protection and reliability.

DynaCenter migrates workloads from a physical or virtual server to almost any target cloud platform that supports Hyper-V, KVM, VMware or Xen hypervisors, running supported Linux or Windows guest operating systems.
